ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Sunday said there was no room for confusion or mixed signals on the issue of terrorism, warning that any sympathy or soft stance towards militants would not be tolerated.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Talal Chaudhry criticised KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for questioning the need to present evidence of terrorism originating from Afghanistan. He said the facts were an open secret and had already been acknowledged by many countries around the world. “This is not rocket science. Everyone knows where the problem is coming from,” he remarked.
The minister said that deliberately creating doubt only weakens the national stance against terrorism. He questioned why some leaders appear to walk on thin ice when it comes to condemning militant groups, adding that banned terrorist organisations continue to find shelter across the border.
Talal Chaudhry said Pakistan had paid a heavy price in blood, with more than 1,200 lives lost to terrorism. “Enough is enough. The nation cannot afford double talk on such a serious matter,” he said, stressing that standing with martyrs was far more important than street politics.
He warned that the government would adopt a zero-tolerance policy against anyone who tried to blur the line between the state and terrorists. “You cannot sit on the fence on national security. It is a make-or-break issue for the country,” he added.
