LAHORE – A 5-year-old girl, Iman Fatima, who was kidnapped from Liaquatabad, has been safely recovered from Sahiwal and the suspect has been arrested, officials confirmed on January 12, 2026.

DIG Investigation Lahore Syed Zeeshan Raza took immediate notice of the case, and SP Investigation Model Town Shahid Nawaz formed a dedicated team to recover the child. Incharge Investigation Liaquatabad Police Station Waleed Hussain, along with his team, carried out a successful operation, arresting the female suspect and rescuing the girl.
The kidnapping case was initially registered by the girl’s father at Liaquatabad Police Station. The suspect had abducted Iman Fatima and taken her to Sahiwal. Using modern technology and human intelligence, the police tracked and captured the suspect, ensuring the safe return of the child, said SP Investigation Shahid Nawaz.
Iman Fatima has now been reunited with her family. The parents expressed gratitude to the police team for their swift action. DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza stated that elements involved in child abduction are not entitled to any leniency and will face the full force of the law.
The police confirmed that, with the help of the Police Prosecution Partnership, the arrested suspect will face strict punishment, and lawbreakers will be dealt with an iron hand. SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team involved in the operation.
