Waqar Masih, the complainant, had approached the Complaint Cell at the CCPO office for redress. After reviewing the case, the committee recommended legal action based on documented evidence. Following the committee’s recommendation, Lahore Police took prompt action by vacating the property and handing it back to the owner, Waqar Masih.
Meanwhile, the CCPO reiterated the police’s zero-tolerance against the land-grabbers, adding that operations to protect citizens’ property will continue. We are especially committed to protecting the rights of the religious minorities and the establishment of Meesaq Centers was a step toward ensuring their rights are safeguarded, he added.
The CCPO highlighted that the Meesaq Centers provide a platform for immediate relief to members of the minority communities and have proven to be an effective forum for their concerns. He assured that providing relief to all the citizens would remain a core responsibility of Lahore Police.
Waqar Masih, while expressing his gratitude, thanked Lahore Police for recovering his property and described the return of his home as “the best Christmas gift.”
