According to an official spokesperson, authorities recovered large quantities of illegal substances during the operations, including 579 kilograms of charas, 139 kilograms of ice (crystal meth), 31 kilograms of heroin, 69 kilograms of bhang, 6 kilograms of opium and 10,519 litres of liquor.

Senior officials described the campaign as part of an intensified effort to dismantle organised drug supply chains and prevent the spread of narcotics among young people.

Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana stressed that indiscriminate action would continue against those involved in pushing drugs, particularly targeting networks that exploit youth.

He also directed law enforcement teams to enhance monitoring of online platforms used for the sale and purchase of synthetic drugs, especially crystal meth, which has emerged as a growing concern.

Highlighting the need for coordinated action, Kamyana emphasised improved intelligence-sharing among departments to ensure traffickers are tracked, prosecuted and brought to justice without delay.

Officials reiterated that cases against those involved would be pursued to their logical conclusion, signalling a zero-tolerance approach towards narcotics in the provincial capital.
