He urged Donald Trump to extend his deadline for action against Iran, stressing that negotiations are making steady progress. Pakistan has recently played a key mediating role between both sides.
Sharif also appealed to Iranian authorities to temporarily open the Strait of Hormuz as a goodwill gesture, while encouraging all involved parties to halt hostilities during the proposed period.
According to officials, Iran is reviewing the proposal positively, raising hopes that a short pause in conflict could create space for meaningful dialogue and reduce tensions in the region.
