LAHORE  – A number of prominent  Lahore traders and market representatives from Lahore have joined the Pioneer Businessmen Group (PBG), expressing confidence in the leadership abilities of group chairman Ali Hussam Asghar and praising the group’s performance for the business community.

The announcement was made during a gathering attended by senior trade leaders and members of the Pioneer Businessmen Group. The newly joined members included Old Misri Shah President Rashid Waheed, senior trader leader from Paranth Road Market Agha Nadeem, and Lahore Lab Association representative Malik Azam.

The traders formally announced their decision to become part of the PBG, saying that Ali Hussam Asghar had played a significant role in promoting new and young leadership within the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and ensuring respect and representation for chamber members.

They appreciated the group’s efforts for addressing traders’ concerns and strengthening the voice of the business community at various forums. According to them, PBG’s focus on empowering traders and bringing fresh leadership into the chamber has attracted support from different markets across Lahore.

The traders said that Ali Hussam Asghar was among the leaders who had worked for improving the standing of Lahore Chamber members and creating opportunities for younger business leaders to participate in trade affairs.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, Mian Zahid Javed, Haris Atiq, Imran Bashir, Hafiz Sajjad, Shahab Basharat, Muhammad Ali, Chaudhry Mahmood Aslam, Naeem Goraya, and other members of the business community.

The latest wave of support comes as business groups in Lahore intensify their political activities ahead of the upcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections. Different trade alliances have been holding meetings and contacting market representatives to strengthen their positions among the chamber’s electorate.

Observers believe that support from major markets and trade associations can play an important role in shaping the election landscape, as thousands of registered traders and industrialists participate in the chamber’s electoral process.

Pioneer Businessmen Group leaders said that they would continue engaging with traders across Lahore and focus on resolving issues related to business growth, taxation, trade facilitation, and economic challenges faced by the private sector.

The group’s recent outreach reflects increasing competition among business alliances seeking to gain the confidence of Lahore’s trading community before the chamber elections.
