TEHRAN (Web Desk) – Five Iranian vessels have successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz following the United States’ decision to lift its naval blockade under the reported agreement with Iran.
According to Iranian media reports, the ships included three crude oil tankers and two cargo vessels, all of which navigated through the strategically important waterway without disruption.
The development comes after Washington announced an end to the blockade as part of its understanding with Tehran, paving the way for the gradual resumption of maritime activity in the region.
Iranian media further reported that a major shipment of crude oil has departed for Iranian ports, signalling the revival of energy trade routes that had been affected by heightened tensions.
The increased movement of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is being viewed as an indication of improving conditions and the steady normalisation of shipping operations along one of the world’s most critical oil transit corridors.
Analysts say the reopening of the route could help stabilise global energy markets and ease concerns over disruptions to international oil supplies.
