( Web Desk) –Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister and a senior diplomat overseeing the country’s global relations, has said that initiating dialogue in the ongoing conflict involving Iran is difficult but essential, adding that renewed talks between the United States and Iran could help restore normal shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. They also emphasised the need to protect non-military targets and ensure the safety of key maritime routes. China expressed support for Pakistan’s role as a mediator in facilitating indirect dialogue between Washington and Tehran. In a post on X, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed the shared commitment to restoring peace and stability across the Middle East and beyond. He said both countries support efforts aimed at an immediate end to fighting, protection of civilians, and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter. Dar added that China appreciated Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts, and both sides agreed to continue pursuing dispute resolution through dialogue and diplomacy. The development comes as Pakistan plays a central role in facilitating indirect communication between the US and Iran, with support from Turkey and Egypt. These exchanges are being conducted through structured message relays rather than direct negotiations. Earlier, Dar confirmed that a 15-point framework proposed by the United States had been shared with Iran and is currently under consideration, as diplomatic efforts continue to ease tensions in the region.
