LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) presidential candidate Ali Hussam Asghar has urged corporate class voters to support Vision Alliance in the upcoming chamber elections, pledging to focus on addressing the challenges faced by the business community.
He made these remarks while addressing a dinner hosted in honour of the LCCI Corporate Class at Garrison Club, where prominent business leaders and representatives of trade organisations participated.
The event was hosted by Pakistan Solar Association leader Adil Mahmood, while Vision Alliance Patron-in-Chief Mian Misbahur Rehman, LCCI presidential candidate Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim, UTF Patron-in-Chief Mian Sohail Nisar, PBG General Secretary Mardan Ali Zaidi, Senior Vice Chairman Haris Atiq, LBF Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Amjad and UTF Chairman Nasir Hamid Khan were among those who attended.
Addressing the gathering, Ali Hussam Asghar said the corporate sector was one of the most important stakeholders of Pakistan’s economy and its issues required focused attention and effective representation.
He said Vision Alliance would remain available round the clock to resolve the problems faced by corporate sector members and strengthen the voice of the business community at the LCCI platform.
“The corporate sector plays a vital role in economic growth, investment and employment generation, and its concerns must be addressed through effective advocacy,” Asghar said.
He appealed to corporate class voters to support Vision Alliance in the LCCI elections, saying the alliance’s objective was to serve the business community and work for its betterment.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim also addressed the gathering and appealed to corporate voters for support, saying Vision Alliance represented a vision of service and commitment towards the business community.
The gathering was attended by several business leaders, including Imran Bashir, Syed Azmat Ali Shah, Hafiz Sajjad and Syed Yousaf Shah.
The LCCI elections are expected to witness competition among different groups seeking representation in the chamber’s executive body. Candidates have been highlighting business facilitation, industrial growth, taxation issues, energy costs and improved engagement with government institutions as key priorities during their campaigns.
