KARACHI: The Sindh government is exploring the possibility of establishing a religious corridor on the Pakistani-India border, similar to the Kartarpur Corridor to facilitate Hindu and Jain devotees.
The proposed corridor would be built in Umarkot and Nagarparkar, home to ancient Hindu and Jain temples.
Sindh Tourism Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shsh announced the plan at an even in Dubai, citing the success of the corridor, which has enabled Sikh pilgrims to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib without a visa.
The new corridor would provide easy access for Hindu and Jain devotees from India, boosting religious tourism in Sindh.
A weekly flight from India to Sukkur or Larkana is being considered.
This initiative aims to promote interfaith harmony and cultural exchange between the two nations.[:]
