The session began two hours and 25 minutes late under the chairmanship of Panel of Chairperson Samiullah Khan. Provincial Chief Minister Bukhari, speaking on a point of order, condemned derogatory remarks directed at journalists on the Assembly floor during Afridi’s arrival. He also dismissed allegations that he had planted people in the Assembly and said he has prepared a defamation claim, announcing he would walk out in protest.
Later, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan took the chair and explained that the Assembly follows strict rules, and access to lobbies is normally restricted to members. He said he had temporarily suspended rules to allow the KP Chief Minister’s visit but described the resulting commotion as regrettable. A transparent investigation committee was formed, and its report has now been submitted to the police.
During the session, bills of three private universities were approved, two resolutions passed, and three new bills presented. After completing the agenda, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan adjourned the session until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
