LAHORE, Jan 31, 2026: The city police have announced that kite-flying will be allowed for three days for public recreation, with strict safety regulations in place.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza and SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed emphasized that all motorcyclists must install safety rods before heading out. “No rider should leave home without a safety rod. Human life is our top priority,” said DIG Zeeshan Raza. The officials also warned that violations of government instructions would result in fines and legal action.

The safety ceremony for motorcyclists was attended by all divisional SPs of investigation and other senior officers, highlighting the importance of adhering to safety measures.
Authorities have strictly prohibited the use of metallic or dangerous strings during kite-flying. Parents have been urged to keep children away from rooftops and unsafe areas, and citizens are advised to stay clear of power lines and poles while flying kites.
“Enjoy the festival, but strictly follow safety rules. Your caution can save precious lives,” said SSP Muhammad Naveed. Police reiterated that festival celebrations must reflect a civilized and responsible society.
