LAHORE: In the context of love and faith in the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a spiritual and blessed Mehfil-ul-Miladd was organized at the Lahore Press Club under the auspices of the Governing Body Lahore Press Club and the National Women Journalists Forum for women journalists and their families.
The organizers of the Mehfil-ul-Miladd were President Najaf Farzana Chaudhry, Rabia Azmat Member Governing Body Lahore Press Club, General Secretary Najaf Darakhshanda Alamdar and Information Secretary Najaf Nabila Akbar. The special guests were Begum Amna Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Provincial Minister for Finance, Asia Sayal, Director and Founder Lama and Designer Collection Women Entrepreneurship, Sameda, Director Member and CSO Shazo Pharmaceutical Company, Sumbal Malik, Member of the Punjab Assembly, Begum Mehak Zubair Ansari. Chairman Awami Muttahida Movement, Executive Member Lahore Ladies Club Ambrain Farooq and former Member Punjab Assembly Farzana Butt, along with female journalists and their families, and families of male journalists also participated in large numbers.
The Milad gathering was inaugurated by Laiba Saleem with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Those who offered their prayers to the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) included Hafiz Qaria Ayesha and Group Iqra Saleem, Laiba Saleem and female naat khawans. Among those who blessed the gathering with their beautiful words was Aafia Jahangir, senior journalist and important member of Najaf. Kashf and Aishal Zainab, senior journalists and senior council member of Lahore Press Club, along with the daughters of Farooq Supra, senior journalist’s wife Uzma Asim, Safia Khalida Sabri, and renowned poet Najma Shaheen presented Naats with a touching melody. This also captivated the hearts of the attendees.
The duties of the moderator were performed well by former Member of Punjab Assembly, Chief Editor of Saiban Magazine Kanwal Naseem and senior journalist PTV Azki Maqsood through beautiful and confident comparisons.
The gathering was attended by journalists, office bearers and members including Sadia Salahuddin, Mubashra Sultan, Fawzia Hamid, Atiya Zaidi, Fawzia Gohar, Begum Javed Farooqi, Iffat Alvi, Azala Ismat, Saman Khan, Lubna Khan, Fawzia Sultana, Maimuna Siddiqa, Saima Nazir, Shaheen Rashid, Tehzeen Tahir, Tabinda Zahid Nadeem Farooqi, Zahida Parveen, Ujala Riaz, Samra Fatima, Begum Farooq Supra and other distinguished guests including Saima Sajjad, Halima Sadia, Sabira Azmat, Shehla Adil, Khalida Ashfaq, Nazia Butt, Rukhsana Liaquat, Nabeela Shaheen, Saba Chaudhry, Nabeela Shaheen, Iman Fatima, Shezray Fatima, Amara, Nadia, and Saharsh.
Begum Provincial Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman congratulated the efforts of the Najaf team on the grand celebration of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and especially congratulated Najaf President Farzana Chaudhry, Rabia Azmat Member Governing Lahore Press Club and Nabila Akbar for this success.
Amna Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman belongs to a respected and high-ranking political family of Lahore which needs no introduction. While discussing the auspicious birth of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and the celebration of Milad, Ms. Amna said that the spiritual tradition of Milad-un-Nabi was started by her mother-in-law, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman. Milad is a fast-track recipe for promoting love for the Prophet (PBUH) in the hearts of people. Begum Amna Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman also thanked Mr. Arshad Ansari, President Lahore Press Club, for his cooperation in organizing the Noor Mehfil.
Expressing her views, Asia Sayal said that she was very happy that Najaf organized this spiritual gathering at the Press Club and that she was very grateful to the Women National Journalists Forum for being a part of this blessed gathering.
Sumbal Malik, Member of Punjab Assembly, also offered blessings on this event. Najaf President Farzana Chaudhry thanked Honorable Arshad Ansari, President Lahore Press Club, for his special assistance in organizing the blessed gathering of Milad and said that Arshad Ansari has always been active for the development of women journalists and encouraged women journalists in the club’s events.
President Farzana Chaudhry also thanked the Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Women’s Wing and Hamdard Foundation, with whose cooperation this event was successful. Finally, all the participants offered prayers and salutations at the sacred place of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Journalist Fawzia Sultana led the prayer in a passionate voice.
Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the entire Muslim Ummah, Pakistan, and the oppressed Muslims and freedom of Palestine and Kashmir. Extensive arrangements were also made for the women journalists, their families, and other distinguished guests who participated in the gathering.
