LAHORE: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has stepped into its silver jubilee year, marking a significant milestone as the institution begins celebrations of 25 years of excellence, progress and academic achievements.
On September 10, 2026, LCWU formally entered its 25th year as a university, beginning a year-long journey to commemorate its transformation, contributions and continued growth in the field of higher education.
A cake-cutting ceremony was held to mark the occasion, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Uzma Quraishi along with administrative heads of the university.
Speaking on the occasion, the university highlighted that the silver jubilee celebrations would reflect LCWU’s rich legacy, remarkable achievements, research excellence, awards and institutional development over the years.
Under the vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Uzma Quraishi, a series of academic, creative and commemorative activities will be organised throughout the silver jubilee year to showcase the university’s journey and contributions to education and research.
The celebrations will also provide an opportunity to recognise the efforts of faculty members, students, researchers and administrative teams who have played a role in strengthening the institution.
LCWU, one of Pakistan’s leading women’s universities, has continued to expand its academic programmes, research initiatives and institutional capacity while promoting quality education and opportunities for women.
The silver jubilee year marks a celebration of the university’s 25-year journey of excellence, legacy and progress, while looking ahead towards new milestones in higher education.
