LAHORE – Punjab’s Minister for Information, Azma Bukhari, has strongly criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, calling his protest announcement a political gimmick aimed at buying time for his struggling government.

Speaking during a press conference at the DGPR office, Bukhari said Gandapur had come into power with the backing of the establishment and was now using protest threats to distract from his failures.

“He’s using this so-called movement just to seek an extension for his government. PTI leaders always make noise but run away when it’s time to act,” she said. “No party has harmed Pakistan as much as PTI has.”

She made it clear that law and order will be maintained at all costs. “Ali Amin Gandapur will not be allowed to enter the city with weapons like a Kalashnikov. No one will be allowed to cause chaos or destroy public property,” she warned.

Taking a dig at PTI founder Imran Khan, Bukhari said, “He kept waiting for a phone call from Trump and landed in jail. PTI misled the people, wrecked the economy, and failed to bring peace.”

Mocking the party’s narrative, she added, “They say Imran Khan is fighting for the nation, but if there’s no meat in his food, he can’t even function.”

Bukhari further stated that PTI’s problems are of their own making. “They’re reaping what they sowed. No other political party is to blame for their current situation.”

She also criticized Imran Khan’s silence over national tragedies like the Swat and Loralai incidents, calling it “criminal” and “shameful.”

Calling the 90-day movement a political drama, she concluded, “It’s all just a show to hang onto power a little longer. There’s nothing real about it.”
