It was agreed that another round of talks will be held within the next three to four days to continue efforts toward resolving the matter.

The second session on the issue took place at the Punjab Assembly under the chairmanship of Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan. Following the two-and-a-half-hour meeting, Opposition Leader Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar told media that the dialogue had progressed in a positive direction.

“We will now present the points raised during today’s meeting to our parliamentary party for further consultation. The next meeting will be held in the coming days,” Bhachar stated.

Provincial Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, representing the government side, echoed similar sentiments. Speaking to journalists, he said, “Today’s discussions were held in a good atmosphere. We want to ensure that all members of this house are treated with dignity. This is the people’s house, and mutual respect must prevail.”

Both government and opposition representatives expressed a joint commitment to restoring the decorum and traditions of the Punjab Assembly. They vowed to eliminate the culture of verbal abuse and physical confrontation, and work towards a more civil and democratic environment within the legislature.
