TEHRAN (Dunya News) – Iran has warned that any attempt at a ground invasion on its territory would have serious consequences for American forces. Tehran stressed that it is fully prepared to respond to any aggression.
Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zulfiqari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, criticised President Donald Trump, calling him “Israel’s foot soldier” and suggesting he is under pressure from Mossad due to his involvement in the Epstein case.
Zulfiqari issued a stark warning, saying that any ground attack or occupation attempt would result in “US troops becoming food for sharks in the Persian Gulf.”
The statement comes amid reports that the Pentagon is preparing for possible weeks-long ground operations in Iran. Iranian officials said Trump’s repeated threats of military action and seizure of certain islands in the Gulf are unrealistic and would fail.
Iran has strengthened defensive positions nationwide, including along the southwestern border with Iraq and near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, where US bases are located, to ensure readiness against any potential aggression.
