Rameez Dewan urges LCCI members to support PPBA candidates for stronger business representation

LAHORE: Pakistan Progressive Business Alliance (PPBA) candidate for the Executive Committee of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Rameez Dewan, has urged members of the business community to participate actively in the upcoming chamber elections and support candidates committed to strengthening trade and industry.
In a statement issued during his election campaign, Rameez Dewan said the LCCI is a vital platform for representing the interests of traders, industrialists and entrepreneurs, adding that the chamber should continue working as an effective bridge between the business community and government institutions.
He said the private sector was playing a key role in economic development and deserved strong representation to highlight issues affecting businesses across different sectors.
Dewan said challenges including taxation matters, energy costs, regulatory hurdles, inflationary pressures and difficulties faced by small and medium enterprises required continuous engagement and practical solutions.
He stated that, if elected, he would work with dedication for improving communication between LCCI members and the chamber leadership, ensuring that the concerns and suggestions of the business community receive proper attention.
The PPBA candidate said his focus would remain on promoting a business-friendly environment, supporting entrepreneurs and strengthening the role of the LCCI as a representative institution for Lahore’s business community.
