TEHRAN (Web Desk) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed that Tehran will continue resisting what it describes as aggression against the country, saying Iran will maintain its defence efforts with full strength until those responsible are brought to what he called “complete regret.”
Pezeshkian made the remarks in a statement shared on social media platform X, reiterating Iran’s stated position that it does not seek war but will not abandon its right to defend itself against military attacks.
The Iranian president said his country had consistently opposed the outbreak of conflict and considered the protection of its people and regional stability to be closely linked to preventing the escalation of hostilities.
According to Pezeshkian, Iran’s approach has been based on avoiding unnecessary confrontation while protecting its national interests. However, he stressed that Tehran would continue to respond to aggression against Iranian territory and interests.
He said Iran had already demonstrated its willingness to stand against what it considers hostile actions and would continue its resistance until those responsible faced consequences.
Pezeshkian also described himself and the Iranian leadership as guardians of the rights and interests of the Iranian people, indicating that Tehran’s position would remain focused on national sovereignty and security.
The statement comes as tensions in the Middle East remain high, with Iran facing continued military and diplomatic pressure amid a broader regional confrontation.
