PESHAWAR (Web Desk) –Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsud has set another Guinness World Record, completing 38 full-extension punches while carrying 10 kilograms of weight in just 60 seconds and comfortably surpassing the required benchmark.

The latest achievement adds another international title to Mehsud’s growing collection of records and further establishes him as one of Pakistan’s most prolific record-breaking athletes.

For the latest challenge, Guinness World Records had set a target of 30 full-extension punches in one minute. Mehsud went eight beyond the benchmark and completed 38 punches within the allotted time.

The feat required a combination of strength, speed, balance and endurance, particularly because of the additional 10kg weight involved in the attempt.

Irfan Mehsud adds another world record to his name

Mehsud has built his reputation through repeated attempts at demanding martial arts and fitness challenges and has secured records across several categories.

Speaking about his achievements, the Pakistani martial artist said he had established 70 records in the push-ups category at the world level.

He said his record-breaking performances included challenges involving weights of 40, 60, 80 and 100 pounds.

The latest weighted-punch achievement expands his record portfolio beyond conventional strength exercises and highlights his focus on combining martial arts techniques with physical endurance.

Pakistani martial artist says he has beaten records from 20 countries

Mehsud said he had also surpassed records previously held by athletes representing around 20 countries, including the United States, India and Germany.

His continued success has helped put Pakistani martial arts talent in the international spotlight and made him a prominent name among the country’s Guinness World Record holders.

Rather than limiting himself to a single discipline, Mehsud has attempted records involving different combinations of push-ups, additional weights, speed and martial arts movements.

Why Irfan Mehsud’s latest Guinness record stands out

Completing 38 full-extension punches within a minute represents an average of more than one qualifying punch every two seconds while performing the weighted challenge.

More importantly, Mehsud did not merely reach the 30-repetition target required for the record. He exceeded it by more than 26%.

His performance reflects the intensive physical preparation needed for Guinness record attempts, where repetitions must generally comply with the technical requirements established for the particular challenge to count toward the final result.

From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to world record stage

Mehsud’s achievements have also provided a positive sporting story from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, demonstrating how athletes outside Pakistan’s mainstream sports can gain international recognition.

Cricket dominates Pakistan’s sporting landscape, but athletes competing in martial arts, strength and endurance disciplines have increasingly sought international recognition through global competitions and record attempts.

Mehsud has emerged as one of the most visible examples of that trend.

His latest achievement — 38 full-extension punches with 10kg weight in one minute — adds another international milestone to his career and another Guinness World Record associated with Pakistan.
