In a statement posted on social media, Pezeshkian described the agreement as a “historic document” and a reflection of a strong and confident Iran.
“This is a historic document and a message from a powerful Iran: peace will be achieved in the shadow of mutual respect,” the Iranian president said while sharing an image of the signed agreement.
The document reportedly carries the signatures of Pezeshkian, US President Donald Trump and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Pezeshkian said Iran remained committed to global peace while safeguarding its dignity, independence and national interests. He added that the agreement could serve as a foundation for future diplomatic engagement and regional stability.
The accord is expected to pave the way for formal negotiations between Tehran and Washington, with both sides seeking a broader and more durable resolution to longstanding disputes.
