ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has suspended 11 officers posted in its Lahore Zone after receiving the findings of two official inquiry reports related to alleged administrative lapses concerning coordination with the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).

According to an official notification (No.DP-74(25)FIA-PIAB2025/6007-I), the suspensions were carried out following the recommendations of the “Inquiry Report on Issues Related to LESCO,” chaired by former Federal Secretary Mr. Shahid Khan, and a separate report titled “Inquiry Report: Corrupt Practices – Connivance of LESCO & FIA Officials,” headed by Additional Secretary (Admin) Mr. Sohail Habib Tajik.
The officers placed under suspension include Inspectors Mr. Muhammad Nouman Raza and Ms. Memoona Hameed, along with nine Sub-Inspectors: Mr. Zeeshan Qasim, Mr. Sohail Salamat, Mr. Farooq Akram, Mr. Imtiaz Niazi, Ms. Zahida Parveen, Mr. Rana Afzal, Mr. Tassaduq Hussain, Mr. Muhammad Ali Arif, and Mr. Rashid Ali Saleemi. These officers were previously posted at the Anti-Corruption Circle (ACC) in FIA Lahore and have now been directed to report to FIA Headquarters in Islamabad.
The notification, issued with the approval of the Director General FIA, clearly states that the suspensions are administrative measures pending further proceedings and do not imply any final determination of guilt. The FIA reiterated its institutional commitment to transparency, procedural fairness, and internal accountability in accordance with applicable laws and service rules.
