A large number of people, including overseas Pakistanis, attended the session to present their grievances regarding various investigation-related matters.
Several citizens — including Haider Ali, Imran Ali, Khurshid Bibi, and Munir Ahmed — appeared with complaints pertaining to cases of embezzlement and abduction, while others such as Kaleem Ullah, Abdullah, Ali Raza, and Rimsha Tariq raised issues related to theft, cheque dishonor, and sexual assault cases.
DIG Syed Zeeshan Raza listened to the complaints in detail and issued on-the-spot orders for necessary action. In some instances, he directed inquiries through the Additional DIG, while cases involving poor investigation were marked to the Investigation Change Board and show-cause notices were issued to negligent officers.
The DIG also instructed Divisional SPs Investigation to immediately address certain complaints and personally contacted them to ensure prompt resolution.
“Public grievances regarding investigation are being resolved without delay,” said Syed Zeeshan Raza, emphasizing that protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Lahore Police.
He further directed all officers to treat complainants with courtesy and respect, improve their performance, and assured that his office doors remain open at all times for the public.
