LAHORE: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and the Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) to promote collaboration aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s energy sector.

The MoU seeks to foster development in the energy sector through joint efforts in policymaking, monitoring, coordination, and advancement of research and academic activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) and its affiliated bodies.

Under this partnership, both institutions will engage in the exchange of scientific, technical, and research knowledge, undertake joint research projects, enable academic and research exchanges, and work together for the commercialization of innovative technologies. Furthermore, the MoU outlines cooperation in organizing seminars, conferences, training courses, workshops, and scientific forums.

UET Lahore will offer admissions to MS and PhD programs for employees of the Ministry of Energy and its affiliated organizations, while faculty members and students of UET will be provided with opportunities to participate in non-commercial, energy-related research projects.
