LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her gratitude for maintaining exemplary law and order and rendering appreciable public service during Muharram-ul-Haram.
She paid tribute to all the relevant stakeholders in this regard. She expressed her gratitude to the provincial ministers, scholars, Pakistan Army and Rangers for rendering laudable service and upholding peace, unity and respect for the mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram.
She also congratulated the police, district administration and all relevant institutions. She acknowledged that all relevant stakeholders including provincial ministers, police, scholars and administration duly deserve praise and appreciation for performing unprecedented services during Muharram.
She extolled that the level of dedication and devotion in the performance of public service along with maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram has never been witnessed earlier. For the first time, provincial ministers remained present in the field for 10 days to monitor Muharram arrangements and other matters.
She highlighted, “Arrangements being made during Muharram-ul-Haram for maintaining peace and other arrangements speaks volume of all stakeholders collective dedicated efforts. Rendering unprecedented service and maintaining peace during the last 10 days of Muharram-ul-Haram are a bright chapter in the history of Punjab.”
She outlined, “The land of Punjab is a land of peace, unity and brotherhood. I commend the administration for making best arrangements for providing ‘langar’, drinks and mineral water for the mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram processions. In view of intense heat and humidity during Muharram-ul-Haram, water sprinkling to mitigate its intensity is also appreciable .”
