LAHORE: A large, peaceful, and dignified rally was organized by the Christian community in Gujranwala to express gratitude for the legal restoration of Gujranwala Theological Seminary, the removal of illegal occupiers, and the protection of institutional integrity.
The rally was led by Rev. Dr. Majid Abel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Seminary. Rev. Arif Siraj, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan, also stood alongside the participants in solidarity.
Participants from across Gujranwala — including men, women, youth, clergy, teachers, and civil society members — gathered in large numbers. The crowd enthusiastically raised slogans, including:
• Long Live Field Marshal General Asim Munir
• Long Live Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz
• Long Live Commissioner Gujranwala
• Long Live CPO Gujranwala
• Long Live Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala
These chants reflected the Christian community’s deep trust in the civil and military leadership of Pakistan, as well as their unwavering commitment to national unity and justice.
In his address, Dr. Majid Abel stated that this is not just the victory of one institution, but a triumph of truth, law, and justice. Just as the entire nation is reinvigorated by the historic success of Operation Bunyān-e-Marsūs, we too stand today with renewed hope, courage, and gratitude for the restoration of what is rightfully ours.”
The rally concluded with prayers and messages of national unity, affirming that Pakistan’s Christian community stands firmly with its constitutional values, state institutions, and the mission of peace and progress.
