LAHORE: Shouban Akhtar, Patron-in-Chief of the North Lahore Board of Industry and Trade, has stepped up campaigning for the PPBA Alliance in the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections, organising a major gathering of industrialists and traders in Daroghawala
The event, organised by Shouban Akhtar in collaboration with the North Lahore Board of Industry and Trade, Daroghawala Industry Owners Association (Registered) and Haqiqi Tanzeem, brought together Corporate and Associate Class voters from Daroghawala and other parts of North Lahore.

Organisers described the gathering as one of the largest business community events held in Daroghawala during the current LCCI election campaign, with hundreds of traders, industrialists and chamber voters attending.
Addressing the gathering, Shouban Akhtar said the business community of Daroghawala and North Lahore stood firmly with Mian Anjum Nisar and the PPBA Alliance.
‘We stand shoulder to shoulder with Mian Anjum Nisar’
Akhtar said his team would continue mobilising traders and industrialists in support of the alliance ahead of the LCCI polls.
“We stand shoulder to shoulder with our leader Mian Anjum Nisar. Daroghawala industry and North Lahore have always been a stronghold of PIAF, and this time as well our members will support the PPBA Alliance,” Shouban Akhtar said.
He described the turnout as a demonstration of support from the local industrial and trading community and said the campaign would continue until polling day.
Akhtar said North Lahore represented an important industrial and commercial base of the provincial capital and argued that its business community required effective representation at the Lahore Chamber.
Akhtar intensifies election campaign
Shouban Akhtar said his priority during the remaining campaign would be to reach Corporate and Associate Class voters and encourage maximum participation in the chamber elections.
He claimed that support for the PPBA Alliance was growing across Daroghawala and North Lahore and expressed confidence that voters from the area would back the alliance’s candidates in large numbers.
The claim of a “clean sweep” made during the gathering remains a campaign prediction, with the final outcome to be determined by LCCI members through voting.
The gathering also highlighted the increasingly active role being played by trade bodies and industrial associations as rival groups intensify their campaigns ahead of the LCCI elections.
Akhtar said Daroghawala’s industrial community would remain united and continue working to strengthen the representation of traders and manufacturers at the chamber.
