LAHORE: connection with National Minorities Day, Rwadari Tehreek–Pakistan held a public forum in Lahore to show solidarity with victims of religious discrimination and persecution, highlight their struggles, and urge urgent action from provincial and federal governments as well as state institutions.

Moderated by Chairman Samson Salamat, the event featured testimonies from victims detailing difficulties in accessing justice, while Ms. Kathrine Sapna Kramat, Mr. Asahr Sarfraz, and legal advisors from Christian True Spirit shared expert opinions.

Religious, political, and social leaders from minority communities expressed alarm over the deteriorating rights of minorities and called for the removal of constitutional biases, legislation to criminalize forced religious conversions of minors from Christian, Hindu, and other minority groups, and reforms to the current proportional representation system to allow minority voters to directly elect their representatives.

Concluding the event, participants reaffirmed their commitment to persist in the struggle for an inclusive and equitable Pakistan where all citizens can live with dignity and respect regardless of faith.
