LAHORE: The Readymade Garments Association Rang Mehal Lahore held its annual oath-taking ceremony at a local hotel in Lahore, where newly elected office-bearers took oath to serve the trader community and work for the promotion of the garments sector.
A large number of businessmen, market representatives and members of the trader community attended the ceremony. Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Faheemur Rehman, prominent business leader Naeem Hanif and President Hanif addressed the gathering and emphasized unity among traders and the need for business-friendly policies.
Speaking on the occasion, LCCI President Faheemur Rehman congratulated the newly elected cabinet and said the garments sector is an important pillar of Pakistan’s economy. He stated that traders and industrialists continue to contribute positively despite economic challenges.
“Strong coordination among trade bodies and market associations is necessary to protect traders’ interests and strengthen the economy,” Faheemur Rehman said.
Senior business figure Naeem Hanif said the trader community has always played a key role in economic development and employment generation. He added that the newly elected office-bearers should work with honesty and dedication for the welfare of businessmen.
“The business community needs stability, confidence and facilitation to promote investment and trade activities,” Naeem Hanif stated.
President Hanif thanked the participants for their trust and pledged to raise the issues of traders at every forum. He said the association would continue efforts for the betterment of the ready-made garments sector and support small traders connected with the market.
The newly elected and participating representatives included Haji Sanaullah, Allah Wasaya, Sheikh Riyasat Ali, Peer Azam Naqshbandi, Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Awais Qadri, Mubashar Ali, Mian Muhammad Ali, Mian Ejaz, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Ali Butt, Rana Bashir Iqbal, Saif-ul-Malook, Shahid Usmani, Khawaja Imran, Danish Malik, Babar Hussain, Bilal Ameen, Shahbaz Butt, Hafiz Zulfiqar, Adnan Bhatti, Umar Daraz, Haji Ghulam Rasool, Choudhry Shahbaz, Sheikh Muhammad Hanif, Khalid Pervez, Zahid Mehmood, Mian Rizwan, Malik Naseem, Sheikh Ghulam Mustafa and several other trader representatives.
Participants of the ceremony reaffirmed their commitment to unity among traders and pledged collective efforts for the development of Lahore’s business community. The event concluded with prayers for the prosperity and economic stability of Pakistan.
