LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly Public Accounts Committee-III (PAC-III), chaired by Ahmad Iqbal Chaudhary, held a meeting to examine audit reports for the financial year 2022-23, focusing on public sector companies, including Punjab Waste Management Companies and the Punjab Cattle Market Management & Development Company.

During the session, PAC-III scrutinized 151 audit paras related to the Waste Management Companies of Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, and Multan. Key observations highlighted serious irregularities, including non-production of record amounting to Rs178 million, as well as embezzlement and fraud in petroleum expenses worth Rs50 million.
The committee will continue reviewing these audit paras in tomorrow’s meeting.
