LAHORE: A delegation of 60 Grade-20 senior officers undergoing the National Management Course at the National School of Public Policy visited the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC), where they were briefed on industrial development initiatives and facilities for investors.
PIEDMC Chief Operating Officer Ali Muazzam Syed gave the delegation a detailed briefing on the company’s projects, operational procedures and facilities being provided to industrialists.
PIEDMC Chairman Shahzad Azam Khan welcomed the visiting officers. The delegation included Secretary Industries Umar Masood, Executive Director Board of Investment Dr. Arfa and other Grade-20 officers.
The officers were briefed on procedures for establishing industrial zones in Punjab, development activities at industrial estates and PIEDMC’s role in promoting industrial growth across the province.
The delegation also visited various industrial units at Sundar Industrial Estate. The visiting officers appreciated the infrastructure and management of the estate and acknowledged PIEDMC’s contribution to industrial development in Punjab.
Addressing the ceremony, Shahzad Azam Khan said PIEDMC was utilising all available resources to promote industrial development and provide the best possible facilities to industrialists.
He said a one-window service facility had been established for investors and industrialists, enabling them to have their issues addressed on a priority basis.
The PIEDMC chairman said the company was serving as a bridge between the Punjab government and the business community. He expressed hope that the provincial government would continue introducing and implementing business-friendly policies to encourage industrial growth and investment.
A delegation of 60 Grade-20 officers visited PIEDMC and Sundar Industrial Estate, receiving briefings on industrial development, investor facilities and Punjab’s industrial growth initiatives.
