LAHORE: A delegation of Anarkali Bazaar traders, led by Atiqur Rehman, met Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) office-bearers to discuss business-related issues, traders’ security and other matters concerning the market community.

The delegation met LCCI President Ali Hussam Asghar, Senior Vice President Sardar Usman Ghani and Vice President Chaudhry Khadim Hussain and congratulated the newly elected office-bearers, expressing their best wishes for their tenure.
During the meeting, the traders highlighted various challenges faced by the business community, including issues related to business activities, security and the overall trading environment in Lahore’s markets.
LCCI President Ali Hussam Asghar assured the delegation that the chamber would make every possible effort to address genuine issues faced by traders.
He said the dignity, respect and security of traders would remain a priority, adding that issues faced by markets across Lahore would be raised with the relevant forums on a priority basis.
Asghar said traders played a vital role in the national economy and that providing them with a conducive business environment was the responsibility of the government and relevant institutions.
Former LCCI Vice President Haris Atiq also addressed the meeting and expressed hope that the chamber’s leadership would continue supporting the business community in resolving traders’ issues, promoting commercial activities and improving security.
The delegation thanked the LCCI leadership for hearing their concerns and assuring cooperation in resolving their legitimate issues.
The meeting was attended by former LCCI Vice President Haris Atiq; Executive Committee members Shahab Basharat, Syed Azmat Ali, Ali Raza, Shehzad Mahmood, Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Yaseen; former Executive Committee members Arshad Khan, Hafiz Sajjad, Waqar Ahmed Mian and Mian Imran Asghar; and Anarkali Bazaar trader leaders Mateen Butt and Goshi Butt, along with a large number of traders and business representatives.
