An optical fingerprint scanner is integrated beneath the display for secure unlocking.
Oppo has also equipped both smartphones with Splash Touch technology, allowing the touchscreen to remain responsive even when used with wet fingers. In addition, the devices carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, providing strong protection against dust, water, and high-pressure water exposure.
Powering both models is the MediaTek Dimensity Energy 7300 processor, paired with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. The Reno16 F is available with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Meanwhile, the Reno16 FS comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Both smartphones feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom with OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. The camera system is designed to provide versatility for everyday photography, portrait shots, and zoom photography.
On the front, both devices include a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera with autofocus and a 100-degree field of view. The primary rear camera and the front camera support 4K video recording. Oppo has also introduced its 4K Auto Straighten Video feature, which automatically corrects up to five degrees of tilt during recording to keep videos level while users are moving.
Battery capacity differs between the two models. The Reno16 F houses a large 7,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly while enjoying extended battery life. The Reno16 FS features a slightly smaller 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
The Reno16 F will be available internationally in Pop White, Twilight Violet, and Dream Purple colour options, while the Reno16 FS will be offered in white and purple variants. Oppo has also introduced its new 3D Pop Planet Design on the Pop White version of the Reno16 F, giving the device a distinctive appearance.
