Lahore—The recently elected President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has been quickly gaining popularity among traders and industrialists across the city.
Office-bearers from various associations, including Liberty Market Vice Chairman Nadeem Ansari, Raiwind Road Embroidery Association President Muhammad Ali, Azad Group and Pakistan Industrial Sewing Machines Importers and Dealers President Muhammad Yasin, and representatives from other associations, have all spoken highly of the new president’s approach and initiatives.
In a recent survey, these leaders highlighted the president’s dedication to resolving key issues faced by the business community, including issues related to parking and challenges with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
They said the new LCCI president had taken a people-first approach, welcoming everyone with open arms and addressing their concerns with urgency and sincerity.
Nadeem Ansari, Vice Chairman of Liberty Market, expressed his appreciation for the new president’s inclusive style, saying, “We have seen many LCCI presidents come and go, but none as approachable and dedicated as Mian Abuzar Shad. He understands our challenges and is genuinely committed to finding solutions.”
Muhammad Ali, President of the Raiwind Road Embroidery Association, echoed similar sentiments. “The new LCCI leadership is a departure from the past presidents, who often followed a bureaucratic attitude and engaged in red tape. This president is different—he is proactive, listening to our concerns, and acting quickly to address them,” he highlighted.
Muhammad Yasin, President of the Azad Group, commended the president’s efforts in tackling longstanding issues that have hindered business growth in Lahore. “We have long struggled with administrative hurdles and slow responses from LCCI leadership. This time, it feels like a golden period is ahead for the trade and industry of Lahore,” he remarked.
Leaders from the Pakistan Industrial Sewing Machines Importers and Dealers Association, including their Vice Chairman and Chairman Safeer Abbas, mentioned the stark contrast between the new president’s approach and those of his predecessors.
“Most of the past presidents were known for their red-light protocols and formalities, which kept them distant from the common trader. Mian Abuzar Shad, however, is breaking that impression. His focus is on delivering results rather than making empty promises.”
The positive feedback from these influential voices in Lahore’s business community reflects a growing sense of optimism about the LCCI’s direction under the new leadership. With many traders and industrialists now hopeful for a more collaborative and supportive relationship with the LCCI, Mian Abuzar Shad’s popularity continues to rise.
As he addresses issues ranging from local infrastructure to complex regulatory matters, many in the business community are watching closely and expecting significant progress during his tenure.
