LAHORE: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has achieved another significant milestone by securing a place in the 1,401–1,600 global ranking band of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
Among the 56 Pakistani universities included in the rankings, LCWU has secured 45th position nationally. It has also been placed second among women’s universities in Pakistan and second among women’s universities in Punjab.
The women’s universities featured in this category include Lahore College for Women University and The Women University Multan (WUM).
Notably, LCWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi previously served as Vice Chancellor of The Women University Multan. Her leadership has therefore been associated with the academic and institutional development of two prominent women’s universities in Pakistan.
Congratulating the faculty, researchers, students and the entire university team on the achievement, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi said LCWU’s inclusion in the global rankings reflected the university’s continued commitment to quality education, research excellence, innovation and greater international recognition.
She said the university was taking comprehensive measures to strengthen its research impact, academic quality, international collaborations and performance across global ranking indicators.
Prof. Dr. Quraishi expressed the hope that these efforts would help LCWU achieve a stronger position in international university rankings in the coming years.
The latest ranking recognition highlights LCWU’s contribution to women’s higher education and research while reflecting its growing academic visibility at both national and international levels.
