LAHORE, Dec 31 – Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana on Wednesday announced a strict, zero-tolerance policy against aerial firing, one-wheeling and other illegal activities on New Year’s Eve, as Lahore Police finalized a comprehensive security plan for city-wide celebrations.

According to a statement issued by the Lahore Police, special police teams have been deployed to maintain law and order. The CCPO warned that youth must refrain from dangerous activities such as one-wheeling, motorcycle alterations, racing and hooliganism, noting that strict legal action will be taken against violators.
He said lawbreakers will be dealt with an iron hand and no one will be allowed to disrupt public order. Pickets will be established on major roads across the city to curb aerial firing, reckless driving and disorderly conduct, while Dolphin Squad, PRU and Elite Force teams will conduct enhanced patrolling throughout the provincial capital.
The CCPO also ordered action against mechanics involved in illegal motorcycle alterations. He added that measures have been taken to ensure smooth traffic flow during New Year festivities and that action will also continue against narcotics dealers.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana urged citizens to uphold the rule of law and avoid illegal or unethical acts to ensure peaceful celebrations.
