KARACHI | June 2, 2026 – Pakistani actress Kinza Hashmi has opened up about the darker side of fame, revealing a series of alarming stalking incidents that she says severely impacted her sense of security and trust in those around her.
Speaking during a recent interview, Hashmi shared details of experiences that exposed her to significant privacy breaches and personal safety concerns. The actress disclosed that one particularly obsessive fan, reportedly based abroad, managed to establish contact with individuals working within her household and allegedly persuaded them to share sensitive information in exchange for money.
According to Hashmi, some of the people involved had been part of her domestic staff for nearly seven years. She claimed they secretly provided private details about her daily life, including photographs taken inside her home, images of personal belongings, and even pictures related to her medical treatment. The discovery left her deeply disturbed and raised concerns about how vulnerable public figures can become when trust is broken by those in their immediate surroundings.

The actress said the incident had a lasting emotional impact, making it difficult for her to place confidence in people she once considered reliable. She described the experience as one of the most upsetting moments of her career, emphasizing that the violation extended far beyond ordinary fan behavior.
Hashmi also recounted another unsettling episode involving a separate individual who allegedly followed her movements and eventually arrived at the set of one of her television projects. The person later attempted to track down her residence, creating further anxiety about her personal safety.
Fortunately, the individual was unable to determine her exact apartment number and failed to gain access to the building. Hashmi said the situation required immediate intervention, and she sought help from members of the production team to ensure her safety and prevent any escalation.
Reflecting on these experiences, the actress highlighted the challenges celebrities often face in maintaining privacy while living in the public eye. She noted that stalking and unwanted attention can become serious issues, particularly when admirers cross personal boundaries and attempt to intrude into private lives.
Hashmi further pointed out that despite the seriousness of such incidents, pursuing legal remedies is not always straightforward. She explained that formal complaints and legal action can be complicated, leaving many public figures with limited options when dealing with harassment and stalking.
Her remarks have once again drawn attention to the growing concerns surrounding celebrity safety, online obsession, and the need for stronger protections against invasive behavior directed at public personalities.
