LAHORE: Former federal minister and OPTMA leader Gohar Ejaz hosted a dinner in honour of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Ali Hussam Asghar, Senior Vice President Sardar Usman Ghani, Vice President Khadim Hussain Chaudhry and members of the Executive Committee, bringing together prominent business leaders and representatives of the business community.

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi attended the dinner as a special guest, adding significance to the gathering of leading industrialists, businessmen and representatives of the Lahore business community.

The event provided an opportunity for business leaders to congratulate Ali Hussam Asghar on assuming the LCCI presidency and acknowledge the confidence placed in him by the chamber’s members. The gathering also reflected the importance attached to the newly elected LCCI leadership at a time when the business community is seeking greater engagement with the government and relevant institutions.

Ali Hussam Asghar, who recently assumed charge as president of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was the central figure of the gathering. Business leaders and members of the LCCI Executive Committee joined the dinner, highlighting the broad support and expectations surrounding the new leadership.

Gohar Ejaz welcomed the LCCI leadership and guests, while the participation of senior business personalities underscored the close interaction between the private sector and policymakers.

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi’s participation also provided an opportunity for members of the business community to interact with a senior member of the federal government.

The dinner was attended by prominent business leaders and representatives, including former LCCI president S.M. Muneer, Amjad Chaudhry, Nasir Hamid Khan, Mian Misbahur Rehman, Haris Atiq, Sabir Mithu, Mian Sohail Nisar, Khawaja Shahzaib Akram, Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Shahid Hassan Sheikh, Momin Ali Malik, Ibrahim Sheikh, Naila Nadeem, Syed Azmat Ali, Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry, Sahir Mushtaq, Shehzad Ali Shah, Azim Iftikhar, Syed Yousuf Jameel, Tariq Mahmood, Mardan Ali Zaidi, Muhammad Ali, Chaudhry Tahir Manzoor, Muhammad Umar Abdullah Chaudhry, Zaman Naseeb, Adeel Babar Khan, Muhammad Ijaz Ghori, Ali Raza and Shah Bahram.

 

The presence of a large number of leading businessmen and LCCI Executive Committee members reflected the strong interest of the business community in the chamber’s new leadership.

 

Ali Hussam Asghar has emerged as a prominent figure in the chamber following the recent LCCI elections and has assumed responsibility at a time when businesses are facing challenges related to taxation, energy costs, exports, regulatory matters and economic uncertainty.

 

The gathering was seen as an important occasion for strengthening coordination among business leaders and encouraging greater engagement between the LCCI and government institutions.

 

The participation of senior business personalities and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also highlighted the importance of maintaining dialogue between the government and the private sector for addressing issues affecting trade and industry.

 

The dinner concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with business leaders expressing their best wishes for Ali Hussam Asghar and the newly elected LCCI leadership.
