LOS ANGELES (Web Desk) – British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he plans to step away from music for a period after completing his current tour to spend more time with his family.
Speaking to fans during the opening show of his North American tour in Glendale, Arizona, the Shivers hitmaker said they might not see him perform again for some time once the tour concludes.
“This is going to be my last time here in a while. I might take some time off once this tour has ended and sort of do the dad thing,” Ed told the audience, before thanking fans for their continued support.
The 35-year-old shares two daughters, Lyra, five, and Jupiter, four, with his wife Cherry Seaborn. The couple, who first met as children, tied the knot in January 2019.
Ed has spent much of the year away from his family, having launched his tour in New Zealand in January before performing across Australia and South America. He is scheduled to continue touring North America over the next five months, with the final show set to take place in Tampa, Florida, on November 7.
The singer also recently informed fans that he had decided to part ways with his record label after a 15-year association.
