LAHORE: The federal government and the provinces have started serious thinking to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and impose Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The majority of the federal cabinet is in favor of Governor’s Rule in KPK and the Balochistan Assembly has passed a resolution to ban the PTI, while resolutions have been submitted in the Sindh and Punjab assemblies.
According to sources, the PPP leadership is not in favor of immediately banning the PTI, while senior PML-N leaders also do not want a ban at present.
After the 18th Amendment, Governor’s Rule can be imposed in any province for a maximum of six months.
In the past, the PPP government imposed Governor’s Rule against the Shehbaz Sharif government in Punjab, which was unsuccessful.
The PML-N has submitted a resolution to ban the PTI in the Punjab Assembly, which states that the PTI has caused vandalism and arson across the country due to violent protests.
Therefore, this house of the Punjab Assembly strongly demands from the federal government to immediately ban the PTI. should be imposed so that the country can be saved from further damage.
