By M Qadeer
Interviewer: First of all, congratulations, Mian Abuzar Shad, on your statement greeting President-elect Donald Trump on his re-election. You’ve pinned high hopes for his leadership. Could you share your thoughts on how his second term might impact global peace?

Mian Abuzar Shad: Thank you. Yes, I believe President Trump’s re-election is a golden opportunity for the world to become a more peaceful place. With his leadership, I see a real chance for major conflicts, such as the war in Ukraine, to be resolved. His approach and influence might also bring stability to the Middle East, offering relief to innocent people in Gaza, and potentially curbing some of Israel’s aggressive policies.
Interviewer: That’s a powerful vision. You’ve talked about Trump’s potential impact on poverty-stricken nations as well. Could you expand on that?
Mian Abuzar Shad: Certainly. Many poorer nations are struggling to develop due to global inequalities, conflicts, and limited access to resources. If Trump can focus on trade policies that allow equitable growth and provide development support, we might see real development in these nations, extending them a reasonable chance to uplift themselves. His leadership could certainly provide a platform for economic breaks that help thesenations build sustainable economies.
Interviewer: Agriculture and food security are also pressing issues today. Do you see Trump’s policies fixing these issues?
Mian Abuzar Shad: Undoubtedly. President Trump has spoken about prioritizing American industries, and I hope this includes a new focus on agriculture and food security, not only for the US but globally. With the right international collaborations, food scarcity and agricultural challenges could be tackled more effectively, benefiting millions of people around the world.
Interviewer: You’ve also highlighted issues in South Asia, particularly the Kashmir dispute. How do you see Trump’s role here?
Mian Abuzar Shad: The Kashmir issue has been a long-standing source of tension in South Asia. If President Trump takes up the issue in mediating a peaceful resolution, we could see an end to hostilities between India and Pakistan, steering in peace and stability in the region. I believe he could encourage dialogue and push for a fair resolution that considers the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Interviewer: You’ve mentioned the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as well. What are your expectations about this?
Mian Abuzar Shad: The establishment of a Palestinian state is crucial for a peaceful Middle East. I hope that President Trump’s second term could see more balanced policies, which might lead to serious diplomatic efforts toward recognizing Palestine as a sovereign state. This will be a landmark move for peace in the region.
Interviewer: Finally, on trade and industry—what are your expectations for economic growth globally, and specifically for Pakistan?
Mian Abuzar Shad: Under President Trump’s leadership, I expect stronger international trade ties that will benefit the global economy. For Pakistan, I anticipate opportunities to expand our exports and boost our industry. Trump’s pro-business approach can create more avenues for international investments, fostering economic well-being not only for the US but also for Pakistan and other developing nations. We’re optimistic that these policies will boost global trade and drive sustainable economic growth.
Interviewer: Thank you, Mian Abuzar Shad, for sharing these insights. Let’s hope for positive growths in the coming years.
Mian Abuzar Shad: Thank you. We are all hoping for a brighter and more peaceful future under this new leadership.
