KARACHI (Web Desk) – Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal is expected to hold her rukhsati ceremony later this year, with the event likely to take place in November or December, according to her sister and legal representative Ramsha Iqbal.
Speaking during a recent media interaction, Ramsha provided updates regarding the actress’s wedding celebrations and ongoing legal proceedings related to a cyber harassment case.
Momina Iqbal recently married Hamza Habib in a nikah ceremony, with photographs and videos from the event gaining significant attention across social media platforms.
Ramsha said the family felt reassured after the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency registered a case against Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar over allegations involving harassment and threats.
According to her, the registration of the case was supported by evidence gathered by the family and submitted to the relevant authorities.
Addressing reports circulating online, Ramsha rejected claims regarding the existence of private videos involving the actress. She alleged that threats had been made involving manipulated and AI-generated content that could potentially be shared on social media platforms.
She further clarified that the wedding events held so far were limited to nikah-related celebrations and that the rukhsati ceremony has not yet taken place.
Ramsha also revealed that the actress had been facing considerable emotional strain due to the ongoing legal matter. As a result, the family opted for modest and private celebrations to ensure a supportive atmosphere during the wedding festivities.
Looking ahead, she said the family is planning additional wedding events later in the year, with Momina’s rukhsati expected to be one of the major occasions still to come.
The actress’s wedding and the legal case have both attracted widespread public attention in recent weeks, keeping her in the spotlight both professionally and personally.
