NAIROBI, March 26 — The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Executive Committee Member Ahsan Shahid besides Hunza Chamber of Comerce and Industry President and Vice President participated in the Kenya International Investment Conference 2026 (KIIC 2026), highlighting emerging opportunities for enhanced trade and investment between Pakistan and Kenya.

The high-profile conference, attended by the leadership of Kenya and Mozambique, brought together global investors, policymakers, and business leaders to explore strategic partnerships across sectors such as agriculture, textiles, infrastructure, and technology.
Ahsan Shahid, along with other delegates, engaged in discussions with international stakeholders, focusing on strengthening bilateral economic ties. He emphasized that Pakistan’s industrial expertise, particularly in textiles, pharmaceuticals, and IT services, can complement Kenya’s growing market and strategic position in East Africa.
The presence of the President of Kenya and representatives from Mozambique underscored the importance of regional cooperation and cross-border investment initiatives. The conference provided a platform to identify joint ventures, facilitate business-to-business connections, and explore export opportunities.
Participants noted that Kenya serves as a gateway to the East African market, offering Pakistani businesses access to a wider regional economy. In return, Kenyan investors can benefit from Pakistan’s manufacturing capacity and skilled workforce.
The LCCI delegation reiterated its commitment to promoting international trade linkages and encouraged Pakistani entrepreneurs to explore investment prospects in Africa.
