Lahore police receive over 541,000 complaints through front desk system this year

LAHORE, October 29: The Lahore Police has released performance statistics of its Complaint Management System (Front Desk) for the current year, revealing that more than 541,000 applications were received at police station front desks across the provincial capital.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson for Lahore Police, over 369,000 applications have been processed, while 171,000 applications have been disposed of as per legal procedure. Action is currently underway on 920 applications.
The spokesperson further shared that 184,000 cases were registered on the basis of resolved applications, and more than 183,000 lost reports were promptly acted upon.
Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana directed the police to ensure the timely registration of FIRs, merit-based investigations, and swift justice for victims. He instructed that complaints should be resolved within the prescribed timelines as per SOPs, adding that supervisory officers must ensure proper follow-up of public grievances received through the Complaint Management System.
He emphasized the importance of upholding the respect of complainants, instructing officers not to make citizens wait unnecessarily and to inform them in case of official engagements. He further directed that all citizens’ issues be resolved promptly and efficiently.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana reaffirmed that policing is not merely a profession but “a lifestyle devoted to public service.”
