WASHINGTON (Monitoring Desk) – The Trump administration is pushing Congress to approve a massive $6.4 billion weapons deal for Israel, even as Tel Aviv intensifies its military assault on Gaza City, leaving displaced Palestinians with nowhere to run.

According to sources, the proposed package includes 30 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters worth $3.8 billion, 3,250 infantry assault vehicles valued at $1.9 billion, and another $750 million in support equipment for Israel’s armored personnel carriers and power systems.
The push for arms comes just days before the United Nations General Assembly convenes in New York, where Gaza will dominate the agenda. The U.N. Security Council is also set to hold a high-level meeting on the crisis next week.
While President Donald Trump has doubled down on backing Israel militarily, opposition inside the U.S. is mounting. A growing number of Democratic senators have voted against further weapons sales and, for the first time, a Senate resolution has been introduced urging recognition of a Palestinian state.
The White House declined immediate comment, but the move underscores Trump’s unwavering alignment with Israel at a time when global outrage over the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is escalating.
