LAHORE — The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Lahore has recorded a significant improvement in its performance during the fiscal year 2025–26, marking a major success in anti-smuggling operations.

According to official figures, the Collectorate carried out 269 seizures worth Rs. 13.02 billion, compared to 256 seizures valued at Rs. 9.04 billion in the previous financial year 2024–25. Despite two months still remaining in the current fiscal year, both the number and value of seizures have already exceeded last year’s total performance.

This notable increase reflects enhanced vigilance, better operational planning, and stronger enforcement strategies. Officials stated that the rise in seizures demonstrates the department’s commitment to controlling smuggling and protecting national revenue.

Under the leadership of Collector Agha Saeed, the department has adopted a more proactive and intelligence-based approach, which has significantly improved results. His focus on accountability, coordination, and effective monitoring has strengthened enforcement operations.

Additional Collector Naveed-ur-Rehman Bugvi, Deputy Collector  Saifullah and Assistant Collector Faisal Siddique have also played an important role by ensuring efficient field operations and quick response against smuggling networks. His efforts have contributed to improved surveillance and operational effectiveness.

Officials further noted that the use of modern enforcement techniques and better coordination among teams has helped in identifying and intercepting illegal goods more efficiently.

The Collectorate’s performance is being appreciated as a strong example of effective enforcement, and authorities remain confident that further progress will be achieved before the end of the fiscal year.
