LAHORE: Chairperson of the Child Protection Bureau and Member of the Punjab Assembly, Ms. Sarah Ahmad, paid a special visit to Sundas Foundation Lahore, where she met with the Founder and President of the Foundation, Muhammad Yasin Khan.

During the visit, she reviewed the medical facilities provided to children suffering from Thalassemia, Hemophilia, and other blood disorders.
Ms. Sarah Ahmad visited various departments of the Foundation, including the transfusion unit, laboratory, and consultation sections, and interacted with the children under treatment. She also distributed gifts among the young patients and expressed her best wishes for their recovery.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Ahmad said: “The services being rendered by Sundas Foundation for children affected by Thalassemia and other blood-related illnesses are truly commendable. The dedication and care shown by the Foundation set a remarkable example for society.”
During the visit mutual collaboration between the Child Protection Bureau and Sundas Foundation was also agreed upon. Under this partnership, children residing in the Bureau’s care homes who are diagnosed with Thalassemia, Hemophilia or other blood disorders will receive free and complete medical treatment from Sundas Foundation.
Ms. Sarah Ahmad also highlighted the importance of legislation in preventing Thalassemia. She stated that the Punjab Assembly recently passed a landmark bill making pre-marital Thalassemia testing mandatory a critical step in preventing the genetic transmission of this life-threatening disease.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Muhammad Yasin Khan, Founder and President of Sundas Foundation, gave Ms. Sarah Ahmad a detailed briefing about the organization’s services and presented her with a commemorative shield in recognition of her visit.
