LAHORE: Police have arrested the main suspect involved in the brutal murder of a mother and her daughter in Batapur. The arrest was made following swift action directed by DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, who took serious notice of the heinous crime.
According to police officials, the incident occurred when the accused, driven by domestic disputes, opened fire and killed Nabila Bibi and her daughter in cold blood. The suspect fled the scene immediately after committing the crime.
SP Investigation Cantonment, Bushra Nisar, formed a special team under her supervision to apprehend the suspect. The operation was led by Incharge Investigation Batapur, Sadaqat Ali, who along with his police team, successfully arrested the accused.
SP Bushra Nisar stated that the arrest was made with the help of advanced technology and human intelligence. She further emphasized that, with support from the Police-Prosecution Partnership, efforts will be made to ensure the suspect receives exemplary punishment.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza condemned the brutal act and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to protecting women from violence. “Those who commit sexual violence and murder against women do not deserve any leniency,” he stated.
He further assured that criminal elements will be dealt with an iron hand to maintain law and order.
In recognition of the swift and professional action, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team involved in the arrest.
