ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has issued a notification placing eight officers of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) under suspension with immediate effect, in accordance with the approval of the competent authority, the Secretary Interior.
The notification, issued under reference number F.No.10/83/2025-Estt/FIA, states that the suspensions are of an administrative nature and will remain in effect until further orders.
The officers include Mr. Muhammad Sabir, Deputy Director (BS-18), along with Assistant Directors (BS-17) Mr. Nadeem Akhtar, Mr. Shiraz Umer, Mr. Zeeshan Khokhar, Ms. Um ul Baneen Navi, Mr. Zawar Ahmed, Mr. Rana Faisal, and Mr. Naeem Akhtar. The Ministry emphasized that these suspensions are procedural and do not constitute findings of misconduct or guilt. The move is part of routine departmental action to ensure transparency and proper conduct in official matters.
Copies of the notification have been forwarded to relevant departments, including the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR), the FIA Headquarters Islamabad, and the officers concerned. The FIA and Ministry of Interior remain committed to upholding integrity, discipline, and due process in line with the law and constitutional safeguards.
