The social media platform X returned to normal on Thursday afternoon after a short international outage that disrupted users across several countries.
NetBlocks, an internet monitoring service, reported the outage shortly after 12pm, noting that it was “not related to country-level internet restrictions or filtering.”
According to Downdetector, Pakistani users saw a surge in complaints around midday, with a peak of 189 reports, primarily about the platform’s timeline and app functionality. By 12:45pm, the number of reports in Pakistan had dropped dramatically to just two.
In the United States, complaints fell below 200 after earlier reaching nearly 31,700, reflecting a rapid restoration of service.
This follows a similar brief outage on March 18, which also affected thousands of users worldwide on the Elon Musk-owned platform.
